The sincerest form of flattery, they say, is that of imitation. Here’s Clara trying to compliment her father as he paces the backyard engrossed in phone conversation:
No sooner did I make the I’m Boredpost than Clara decided to strip down to her birthday suit (or “baby scoot” as her BFF Nadia calls it) and try to fit herself into every available galvanized bucket on the deck:
That is one silly goose we have on our hands.
And now it is the time in the show where we do our first ever SHOUT OUT! This is a SHOUT OUT to Georgie, the beautiful 4 month old daughter of our Australian friends, Marc and Jac, whom we met when we lived in Dublin. They’ve made a big decision to move from their cute little abode in the city of Brisbane to the suburbs of Queensland to have a yard and more room for Georgie to grow. Congratulations from The Fishers!
We had the fence company come out and put up a split rail in front of our house. It looks great. Check it:
This morning, I finally caught Clara on tape happily singing “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star” as she does every morning on her changing table. Her audience, besides the videographer, is “Ing-o” the flamingo:
I’m proud to say I am raising a child who is not afraid to toot her own horn. She’s learning the fine art of blowing bubbles and though she is not yet a master, she is pretty consistently able to blow a bubble or two on her own without just hurling spit through the bubble wand. Every time she makes a bubble she encourages herself by exclaiming, “You did it!” I guess she’s one of those that likes to refer to herself in the 3rd person. Actually, you is 2nd person, isn’t it? Well, that’s good, I guess. It means her social skills could go either way at this point.
This is a video of Clara just being herself. Eating her jello and cashews, singing about her PJs and toliet! I beleive she even throws a “JackGwen, JackGwen” in there too. This coming from a girl who thinks a potty train goes “choo choo!” Silly goose.
